On May 3-25, Ў Gallery in Minsk will host a unique exhibition and educational project called “Artes Liberales.”
The name of the project reflects its interdisciplinary content. It will present a new perspective on everyday life through the visualization of social and cultural realities.
Artes Liberales will be a series of public lectures, workshops, and roundtable discussions delivered by prominent professors and lecturers from Belarus and other European countries. The program encompasses the whole humanities realm, ranging from the theory and history of photography, design, cinematography, gender studies, art criticism and cyberspace to law, religion, cultural heritage, and philosophy.
Participants will receive a broad-ranging introduction to the humanities and their significance to Belarusian society through the synthesis of intellectual practices and creative projects.
All Artes Liberales events will be accompanied by expositions of art objects, a video film program, and Audio and Video sets.
